As I was walking back to my room after class today, I realized that the week had gone by so fast. I didn't have a problem with that though, because it was a busy week and I knew that I was going home for the weekend. It's pretty nice to be back home. I am glad that I get too have a home cooked meal rather than cafeteria food. I get to see some of my friends that I haven't in awhile, and I'm going to the Bears v. Packers game on Sunday. I am really looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

This is the weekend that the majority of our university student body and faculty has been waiting for since welcome week. Today our football team takes on Murray State for the first home game of the season. Fans will be decked out in Western Michigan apparel and the crowd will be rowdy. Campus is filled with energy today, and the weather is great for football. After last season's record of 1-11, Coach Fleck looks to have a winning record for Western Michigan this season for the first time since 2012. Hopefully the Broncos are able to pull off a win today!

Today in my World Ecology Problems class I learned that the natural capital of earth is and has been unequally distributed for all of time, and will continue to be unequally distributed. Natural resources vary in amount depending on geographical location because of different ecosystems. This results in the unequal distribution of resources. I am still curious about the fact that it seems like our distribution is unchanged, but there are ways for us to change as seen in the work of nonprofit organizations. Red cross distributes necessities to disaster stricken areas, so we should be able to use those same methods to equally distribute resources.

Hi everyone, my name is Jeff Nowicki. I really enjoy the winter and skiing, lacrosse, football and hockey. I am an Economics major in the College of Business here at WMU. I will be joining the Alpine Ski team here and I am looking forward to this racing season!
